Celtics come out victorious in Game 7 vs. the Raptors

Let’s go!!!! Absolutely huge win for the Boston Celtics tonight. Through all the adversity they faced this series, they managed to come out on top. This game might have taken some years off all of our live at the end due to their failure to put it away, but winning a game 7 is such a satisfying feeling.

It was shaky at the end there, but how about a potentially season saving block from Marcus Smart here. The game would have been tied up had the shot gone, and it would really have been anyone’s game at that point. Smart has been a revelation for the Celtics this postseason, and to see his offensive game come together has been really awesome. Another shout out to Jayson Tatum for drawing a foul off of the Grant Williams missed free throw. Huge play to get a three point lead and force the Toronto Raptors to go for a three. The Celtics put in more effort at the end there, and got the result they were looking for.

Next up is the Miami Heat. They have been on a tear so far this postseason, and are as Nathan puts it “the Raptors 2.0” (no plagiarism). They have a proven star in Jimmy Butler who you can expect 25+ a night from, a stark contrast from Pascal Siakam who withered away at the mere mention of Jaylen Brown. Butler is surrounded by an array of perimeter shooters, such as Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and old friends Jae Crowder and Kelly Olynyk. And Bam Adebayo will prove time be a much more daunting task than Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka in the paint. The Celtics defense will be tested again, and it will be interesting to see how they match up against them. There will more offense to be found, as the Raptors were an elite defensive unit. Combine that with a potential return for Gordon Hayward, and the Celtics should be able to find more opportunities to score this series. The Heat took down the Milwaukee Bucks even with Giannis Antetokounmpo, so they are proven to be fierce competitors. It won’t be easy, but the Celtics have faced a lot of adversity early on in these playoffs, and it should help them in this series. Hopefully it results in us going to the championship. Four wins away baby!
